| Politician Bill Gluckman (Ryan O’Neal) is trying to get elected based on his platform of strong family values. Much to his chagrin, his son Brad “B-Rad” Gluckman (Jamie Kennedy) would rather act like he is from the hood than Malibu. He is a bad rapper and a very silly wanna-be. Mr. Gluckman’s assistant arranges for Brad to be kidnapped by paid thugs, Sean (Taye Diggs) and PJ (Anthony Anderson) to scare him out of wanting that lifestyle. Unfortunately, the “thugs” are actually Juliard-trained actors who wouldn’t even know how to find the hood if it weren’t for Sean’s sister, Shondra (Regina Hall). The charade lands the whole group in more and more trouble. The more trouble they get into, the more Brad is sure he has what it takes to be a rap star- even if no one else thinks so. |
