| Ben Healy (John Ritter) and his adopted son, Junior (Michael Oliver), decide to get a fresh start in a new town, Mortville. Fortunately for Ben, there are a lot more women in the town of Mortville than men. He is instantly welcomed by a number of his single female neighbors. Junior, however, sees these women as a threat and takes action to keep them away from his father. This is especially true of LaWanda Demore (Laraine Newman) who redecorates Junior’s room in the hated clown theme. Junior also encounters problems at school from a bully. On top of all this, there is a girl, Trixie (Ivyann Schwan), at Junior’s school who is as fond of mischief as Junior is. They instantly become rivals. Things become even more complicated when Ben and Trixie’s mom (Amy Yasbeck) meet. |
